Ace RS Electric Founder Edition: AC Cars continues to electrify!

We recently reported that AC Cars, the oldest car manufacturer in Great Britain, is now also dedicating itself to the electrification of the legendary Cobra. In the form of limited AC Cobra Series I electric. And now it is already continuing with another model. And with the Ace. It was the base vehicle for the legendary Cobra created by Carroll Shelby in the late 1950s. The two-seater roadster was presented in the post-war years (in 1954) and scored points with a chassis that was good by American standards. Until production ended in 1962, the Ace was able to achieve various successes in the popular club races in Europe and the USA. And now, decades later, as Ace RS Electric the two-seater roadster with one 230 kW (313 PS) and 500 NM strong electric motor come back on the road.

With the new engine, the electric Ace accelerates in only 5,5 seconds at highway speed and, thanks to the battery with a capacity of 38 kWh, achieves a maximum range of around 320 kilometers. But with the increased performance, it also pulls more weight into the classic. Because the entire electrical engineering increases the curb weight 1.050 kg. Incidentally, as with the electrified Cobra, the base vehicle is the Mk IV chassis from AC Cars including AC chassis number. So it is not a restomod based on an original vehicle, but a professionally manufactured, brand new electric car. The following original AC colors along with typical ones Stripes across the body are available: AC Rosso Chiaro, AC Electric White, AC Mist Silver, AC British Racing Green, AC Black.
