ADRO BMW M3/M4 (G80/G82) with facelift front skirt & aero kit!

Erst announced a few days ago, is actually that from the tuner ADRO bodykit completed for the current BMW M3 & M4. And one thing in advance, we're more concerned, it also fits, at least with regard to the front apron on the new M3 Touring (G81). We can say that in the almost two years since the debut of the M3 and M4, we have actually gotten used to the XXL kidneys. Depending on the color and any additional installed M-Performance Parts there was actually no longer any reason for us to change the design of the front grille "to defuse". But the new bodykit from ADRO now provides a very important reason for us: It just looks so much better! Sorry BMW, but what the chief designer (Davis Lee) and aerodynamicist (Scoot Beeton) from ADRO show here, that is quite simply "much more beautiful"!

The focus of the complete kit is of course on the completely new one front apron. This is extremely pleasing with the significantly smaller kidneys, but the design is much more modern than that of the predecessor (F80/F82). The conversion shows us in every respect that this is the "new" M3/M4 and not a conversion based on the design of the predecessor. But the result is much more harmonious than what BMW pulled out of a hat in 2020. However, one must of course also mention that ADRO had the template from BMW and could only concentrate on optimizing the optics. This is of course easier than having to develop a completely new design. Anyway! We hope and wish that ADRO will bring the kit extensively to the people. Generally it is Carbon fiber body kit by the way, a real eye-catcher!

new front, fixed rear wing & Co.

Unlike other tuners who tend to limit themselves to changing the details surrounding the grille, Adro has a whole new one front bumper create. And this continues to respect BMW's existing design language and, in our opinion, relies on an OEM-style look. It just looks like the new one is already here LCI. The kidneys are smaller and wider, the air intakes have a different shape and the vehicle also has a chic look front splitter.

The result makes the M4 (and M3) look even wider and more exotic and certainly takes the upcoming one a little 3.0 CSL Homage in advance. As far as we know, the apron is compatible with all factory sensors and attachment points and is suitable for both normal M vehicles and the competition versions of the M3 and M4. Even the M4 CSL can be equipped with it. If desired, the kit can also be returned at any time be restored. What more do you want?

Side skirts, diffuser etc.

The rest of ADRO's body kit includes aerodynamic enhancements for the side skirts, a newly formed one rear diffuser and one Gooseneck rear wing, which in this case is exclusive to the M4. Davis Lee, chief designer at ADRO (has previously worked for Mercedes-Benz and Rivian) said: “We had a specific goal. Namely, to fix the visual criticisms of the front apron and to design a front that the M4 deserves". And that worked! Incidentally, the lowering and the new wheelset did not come from ADRO. ADRO also does not offer any performance upgrades or other mechanical tuning parts.

But they have enough other tuners in their range. ADRO's M3 and M4 will be unveiled at SEMA 2022 and pre-orders will be accepted from November. The front apron will cost from 3.100 US dollars, 700 US dollars for the front lip, 1.900 US dollars for the side skirts, 3.100 US dollars for the diffuser and another 3.100 US dollars for the gooseneck rear wing. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!

  1. What about TÜV?

    • Hi Dave,

usually rather bad. An individual inspection may be possible, but you should contact the TÜV beforehand and ask what documents are required and then contact the ADRO team.
