This BMW 2002 from 1972 is a classic Restomod and was originally in poor condition. But its owner Dorian Hicklin breathed new life into the sports sedan. A complete one followed restoration down to the last nut and bolt and at the same time there were a few newfangled ones Upgrades, to become a successful restomod. And the vehicle is still "work in progress" and not finished. The old 2,0-liter M10 engine with its 100 hp has been increased in displacement enlarged and received additional optimizations. Although it has not yet been measured on a test stand, its owner is counting on it approx. 150 to 160 hp. And if you look around the M10 four-cylinder, you'll see a pristine engine bay with a strut brace for extra rigidity.

The body is bright orange painted and thus consciously based on racing. And to be allowed to drive on the race track, there was one Fire Extinguisher and all other mandatory Safety devices. Light ones are also evident in the cabin Bucket seats with a checkered pattern and Racing harnesses and the pedals is punched. Also the shift knob and the complete Cage are new. Our personal highlight in the interior is clearly that Fiberglass dashboard from a 3.0 CSL that even has a glove compartment. It's best to see the rest for yourself.
