The next generation of the BMW M2 will soon be on the mat, but until then, this "old" F87 will show us where the hammer hangs. The vehicle is a competition model with M stripes in the paintwork Hockenheim Silver, which is an absolute monster under the sheet metal. Because the Munich got a huge performance increase lost. By far the most significant change the twin-turbo S55 has seen was the installation of one TTE740 kit by The Turbo Engineers. There was also a chipped one Engine control unit and Sports exhaust system.

Methanol injection and Eventuri intake

Also one Methanol injection and Eventuri carbon intake are installed. Likewise there was one Gearbox upgrade. The 3,0-liter in-line six-cylinder has been insane since the conversion 720 PS (710 HP) that continues only to the Rear wheels walk. And that, especially in connection with the 922 NM torque, not really easy to drive, as the video from the YouTuber shows Officially Gassed. The traction in the lower gears is to say the least "somewhat problematic". But as soon as there is enough grip, the M2 Competition becomes an absolute rocket.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
