The second generation of the Countryman (internal designation: F2016) was presented to the global public at the LA Auto Show in November 60. Compared to its predecessor, the new model grew by almost 20 centimeters in length and 3,5 centimeters in width, which is quite considerable and makes the name "Mini" seem a bit inappropriate. The market launch was only 2 months ago and the second generation was offered with two petrol and two diesel engines at that time. They are both available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Since this month there is also the John Cooper Works Countryman which with 231 PS & 350 NM four-cylinder turbo has very little in common with the originally 34 PS & 60 NM 4-cylinder in-line engine of the UR-Mini from British Motor Corporation (BMC). But what B&B Automobiltechnik squeezes out of the "Mini" is even more extreme.

With “Stage 3”, the tuner offers a performance increase of 275 hp and 385 Nm in three performance levels. To achieve this power, an in-house B & B high-performance intercooler, a B & B downpipe, optimized the intake and air ducts and increased the boost pressure by about 0,25 bar. Of course, chip tuning (map adaptation / engine tuning) that rounds off Stage 3 should not be missing. With this performance plus, the B&B Mini should easily show the rear lights of the new John Cooper Works. Of course, the whole load also wants to be slowed down again and so a B & B high-performance brake system with a maximum brake disc size of 342mm on the front axle is possible. But it's not just the increase in performance or the new brakes that make the difference, if you wish, you can also create a visual touch and new chassis components are also available. On the current model, B10 light alloy wheels of the type B8,5 in 20 × 225 inches with 30 / 20-XNUMX tires were installed.

So that the new aluminum rims sit precisely in the wheel arch, there is the option of lowering the Countryman by approx. 40 mm using the B & B sport spring set. If that's not enough for you, or if you want it even sportier, there is an optional KW coilover kit of variant 3, which is fully adjustable in the rebound and compression levels. Finally, a B & B sport rear silencer or a complete sport exhaust system from Kat with electr. Flap control also ensured the right soundscape. While you wouldn't necessarily infer the 275PS power optically, the B&B Mini, especially with Stage 3 tuning, guarantees many athletes when attempting to overtake.     - B&B level 1 (EUR 1.298.-) includes a boost pressure increase (+ about 0,2 bar), adjustment of the injection and ignition maps - output increases from 141 kW / 192 PS / 280 Nm to 169 kW / 230 PS and 325 Nm
    - B&B level 2 (EUR 1.798.-) includes optimized intake paths and air ducts in connection with a boost pressure increase (+ about 0,25 bar), map adjustment / engine tuning - output increases from 141 kW / 192 PS / 280 Nm to 180 kW / 245 PS and 350 Nm
    - B&B level 3 (EUR 3.950.-) includes B & B high-performance intercooler, B & B downpipe +11 kW / 15 PS, optimized intake paths and air ducts in connection with a boost pressure increase (+ about 0,25 bar), map adjustment / engine tuning - power increases from 141 kW / 192 PS / 280 Nm to 202 kW / 275 PS / 385 Nm
  • Mini models with automatic transmission are electronically adjusted
  • B&B sport rear silencer (from EUR 895.-) or sport exhaust system from Kat with electr. Flap control (from EUR 1.398.-)
    - optional B & B racing exhaust system with metal catalytic converter (from EUR 2.795) - results in an increase in output of approx. 15 kW / 20 PS
  • Lowering by means of B & B sport spring set (from EUR 298.-, about 40 mm lower) - optional B & B / KW coilover kit V3 (adjustable in height, rebound and compression - from EUR 1.849.-)
  • B&B high-performance brake system (from EUR 3.295.-)
    - Maximum brake disc size front axle 342 mm (possible with original MINI Countryman rims in 18 inches)
  • B&B light alloy rims type B10 - VA + HA 8,5 × 20 inches with 225 / 30-20 tires (from EUR 2.498.-)
