For a large part of the M enthusiasts Community, the model generation E90 / E92 will be the only real one! The reason is the spectacular V8 engine of the M3 with a displacement of 3999 cm³. Constructively almost identical to the 5l-V10 of the E60 M5 at that time (Cylinder angle 90 ° and also the essential basic dimensions fit), it was more than an adequate replacement for the S54 straight-six engine of the predecessor E46 M3. In contrast to the 507PS strong V10, however, the V8 engine worked with a low pressure double VANOS. The V8 develops 309 kW (420 PS) at phenomenal 8300 RPM and also provides torque of 400 Nm at 3900u / min. These days almost unthinkable that a machine only at 8.400 / min in the speed limiter flies and with these key data, he will probably forever for one of the highest-revving naturally aspirated in a production vehicle, the BMW has ever built. And exactly this machine has the current BMW E92 M3 from the American rim label Vossen Wheels under the hood and his owner decided to make a few discreet changes to the sporty Munich coupe. The highlight, of course, is the 19-inch Vossen VFS 2 wheel set, which, in conjunction with a significant lowering, fits perfectly into the wheel arch.
But also a lot of carbon aerodynamic parts make the difference to the series M3. On the front bumper, carbon inserts were installed on the right and left and the additional approaches to the side skirts are made of the ultra-light material. And the rear also got a few subtle modifications and so a carbon rear spoiler sits enthroned on the boot lid and a carbon diffuser was installed in the rear bumper, which contains a brand new GTHaus sports exhaust system that communicates the sound of the high-speed V8 to the environment. The M3 is rounded off with a set of black kidneys and gills and a black M3 emblem on the boot lid. An absolutely spectacular vehicle that definitely does not have to hide behind the current F82 M4 and is by no means inferior in terms of performance.
