Brutal: BMW M2 with Darwin Pro widebody kit & 1.100 hp!

Now it's getting wild! This BMW M2 was in the days Speed Hunters Magazine photographed and of course we have to show you the complete conversion. The M2 belongs to John Lau from Los Angeles (California) and the man from Munich not only looks crazy, due to massive modifications to the six-cylinder with bi-turbocharger, he can even deliver up to 1.100 hp "on the wheel" if desired. However, the F87 currently has a "road setup" and is therefore on the road with "only" 900 horses. And best of all, the M2 monster is even hand-torn. But first we come to the body kit. Specifically to the widebody kit! This is a carbon version from Darwin Pro, which with JDM touch, but also draws attention to itself with a few Singer design details. Incidentally, the project was created in cooperation with Linh Nguyen by Garageworks (Hayward, California), which specializes in extensive metal work and high quality paintwork.

Widebody kit & 1.100 PS

The carbon kit integrates seamlessly into the shape of the M2 and everything is covered with a special blue metallic paint (Ferrari Avio Metallic) in countless layers including even more clear coat. And the engine? This is no longer the original N55B30 or S55B30 from the production M2. It's a race proven engine from an M3. It's built from the ground up with forged CP CarrilloPiston and -Connecting rods, King main bearings, Maximum PSI crankshaft hub and a host of other track-ready improvements.

It is also equipped with fat ASR Kratos titanium turbochargers and the fuel comes from high-pressureInjectors by Dorch Engineering in conjunction with Walbro low pressure pumps. Also installed are a CSF RaceIntercooler, iPE titanium charging pipes and intake is via Eventuri carbon fiber intake pipes. Incidentally, the engine speaks acoustically via a Valvetronic Designs sports exhaust system with straight pipes and titanium end pieces.

the cabin has also been completely changed

Incidentally, the cockpit is also turned completely inside out, where there is a Recaro podium, for example Carbon fiber bucket seats with individually embossed Alcantara. A Studio RSR roll cage is also installed, there is a custom-made carbon steering wheel and many other carbon parts. And for safety there is even one Fire extinguishing system installed. And then there would be the chassis and the chic rims. An Air Lift Performance air suspension system with 3P management is installed and the wheel set comes from the company Brixton Forged Wheels.

Specifically, there are three-piece 19 × 11 inch and 19 × 12,5 inch rims with fat 275/35 and 325/30 Toyo Proxes R888R rubber, which rotate in the extra wide wheel arches. And that it's not just a show vehicle is proven by the fact that the M2 will soon become one Half Mile Event should compete. For this reason, the body was reinforced with sheet steel right from the start of the project. Conclusion: cool thing! If we get more information, there will of course be an update for this report.
