BMW X5 M60i (G05): dÄHLer tuning for more power, style & sound!

The proverbial face of the BMW G05 X5 has changed. With a fresh facelift in spring, in BMW jargon LCI referred to as, the G05 not only comes with more modern features, but also with a completely overhauled range of engines, which is now a 48 volt system for all aggregates. This is a particularly strong model M60iwho has a place under the X5 M earned. But there is more to tell about the 60s: namely because of the new petrol engine (S68). And this is where the tuner dÄHLer comes into play. The tuning specialist DÄHLER Competition Line didn't hesitate and is already bidding for the new model two power upgrades at. Under the direction of Christoph Dähler in Belp, near Bern, dÄHLer presented one a few days ago Stage 1 performance increase in front of the already strong 4,4-liter S68 biturbo V8, which delivers 530 HP & 750 Nm as standard, to the fullest 620 PS and 850 Nm pushes.

And if you don't want to be satisfied with the factory speed limit, Dähler can increase it to up to 270 km/h lift. The power upgrade is of course the same Euro 6d standard according to WLTP and comes with one EU/CH homologation report. But that's not all: one Stage 2 performance increase is also already available. It brings even more boost, but is intended exclusively for export. But what's the point of more power without more sound? The Four-pipe complete exhaust system “built by dÄHLer” made of stainless steel gives the M60i a distinctive, sporty sound. And for those looking for a variable, powerful sound, there is a CAN bus controlled one Exhaust flap control. However, this, like the Stage 2 performance increase, is not EU / CH homologated.

Something has also changed visually

But dÄHLer has not only improved under the hood. The highlight on a visual level are the CDC2 Forged rims. With two superimposed double spoke stars and dimensions of 11 × 23 in make a clear statement. And if you're looking for something more subtle, there's this CDC1 Forged alloy wheel. And the driving experience doesn't go unnoticed either. On request, dÄHLer offers two options to improve the chassis dynamics. The Sport springs “built by dÄHLer” and Performance coilover suspension “built by dÄHLer”, which can be variably adjusted in height and damping hardness. It promises an ideal balance between agility and driving comfort. If you want to tune your new X5 M60i, you have found the perfect partner in dÄHLer.
