The experience of luxurious driving pleasure has reached a new dimension with the BMW X7. The first Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) in the luxury segment combines a striking appearance with generous room comfort and sportiness typical of the brand. An edition model now brings out the impressive presence and exclusive charisma of the BMW X7 in a particularly concentrated form. With its unique design and equipment features from BMW Individual, the BMW X7 Edition Dark Shadow underlines both the sporty appearance and the luxury ambience of the largest SAV. The most striking feature of the edition model is the BMW Individual special paint in the color Frozen Arctic Gray metallic. This particularly high-quality and elaborate variant of the body painting is used for the first time in a BMW X model. Parallel to the start of production of the edition model, other selected variants of the BMW Individual special paint scheme will be included in the special equipment program for the BMW X7, BMW X6 and BMW X5.
BMW X7 Edition Dark Shadow
The precisely coordinated details for the design and equipment in the exterior and interior give the edition model of the BMW X7 the status of a collector's item. The BMW X7 Edition Dark Shadow will be produced from August 2020 in the U.S. BMW plant in Spartanburg, where it will be produced in a limited edition of around 500 units. The edition model is available worldwide and can be combined with all engines available for the BMW X7. The expressive paintwork of the BMW X7 Edition Dark Shadow is supplemented by the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line with extended features. In addition to the side window surrounds, the panels of the B and C pillars and the exterior mirror feet, the frame and the bars of the BMW kidney grille, the Air Breather and the tailpipe trims of the exhaust system are also finished in black chrome.

This creates a subtle contrast to the matt shimmering body surfaces, which is also underlined by the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line roof rails and the sun protection glazing. The dynamic character of the SAV is emphasized by the aerodynamically optimized body elements of the M Sport package, which is also part of the equipment of the edition model. Another exclusive feature of the BMW X7 Edition Dark Shadow are the 22-inch M light alloy wheels in V-spoke design in the Jet Black matt version, which are fitted with mixed tires. The engine's superior performance is accompanied by the emotionally powerful sound of the M sports exhaust system. A convincing combination of sporty flair and luxury ambience also characterizes the interior of the edition model, which is optionally available with six or seven seats.

Driver and front passenger enjoy the supreme sportiness of the luxurious SAV on electrically adjustable comfort seats with memory function. An M leather steering wheel and equipment details from BMW Individual specially developed for the BMW X7 Edition Dark Shadow testify to the utmost exclusivity. The BMW Individual full leather interior Merino in the specific bicolor variant night blue / black with contrasting stitching also contributes to this, as does the BMW Individual roof liner in Alcantara version. The upper area of the instrument panel, like the armrests of the doors, is covered with Walknappa leather in midnight blue. Black merino leather is used in the lower section of the instrument panel and on the rear of the front seats. In addition, BMW Individual interior trims in the fine-wood fineline black with aluminum inlays contribute to the fascinating appearance in the interior of the edition model.

In the area of the center console, the unique design is underlined by BMW Individual interior trim strips in piano black finish, which bear an edition logo. In addition to the Frozen Arctic Gray metallic variant available exclusively for the BMW X7 Edition Dark Shadow, additional BMW Individual special paints will be integrated into the production process at the BMW Spartanburg plant from August 2020. This means that the BMW X7, BMW X6 and BMW X5 models can also be painted in the particularly high-quality Urban Green uni and Grigio Telesto metallic colors.
