Restomod 1957 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup with Airride & V8!

We would like to show you this 1957 Chevy 3100 pickup as a so-called Restomod project. The 57 Chevy was built to attract everyone's attention and that should have been successful. While such conversions are often designed to continue to fulfill a certain practical value, this is the case with this vehicle - in our opinion - completely different. Because here everything was refined down to the last screw, so that it is fundamentally inconceivable, for example, to use the precious wood loading area for transporting any goods. But of course it is still feasible! The 10-minute video from AutotopiaLA embedded below shows you the truck in all its details, and we have also added a picture gallery at the end of the post.

Incidentally, the car was built by Ricardo Lopez (Customs By Lopez owner in Southern California) also for the Restomod Chevrolet Chevelle with 420 HP LS1-V8 engine when "El Gran Patron" was responsible. And the 3100 Chevy 1957 is no less spectacular. He was in a beautiful blue by the team of House Of Color wrapped and this step alone took over 500 working hours, according to the tuner. The effort is reflected in the fact that the body is incredibly clean and polished, which is emphasized by the missing exterior mirrors and the integrated door handles. For the front grille, on the other hand, a classic silver was used, which matches the finish of the special five-spoke rims from Bonspeed from Orange County. By the way, Lopez has discreetly raised the loading area to make room for various components underneath.

For example, there are the many components of the Ridetech Airride air suspension including the necessary tanks. Incidentally, the rear view shows narrow taillights, which are installed flush with the bumper and the interior is also completely individual and painstakingly handcrafted. The highlights here are, for example, a new center console, a cool steering wheel and even Dakota digital displays are installed. But the real highlight is under the hood. This is where a 327-V8 works, which has a striking air filter set-up made of carbon and many polished metal parts. The power is estimated at 320 hp which is quite an announcement for such a small truck. The classic is slowed down by a state-of-the-art sports brake system with disc brakes from Wilwood. The system has 6-piston saddles at the front and 4-piston at the rear and has perforated and internally ventilated discs in the format 13 inches (approx. 33 cm) on the front axle and 11 inches (approx. 28 cm) on the rear axle.
