Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Receives Hennessey's H1000 Package!

[Update: 20.09.2023] This post was updatedto take more recent information into account. If you thought the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, a bulwark of a car with a supercharged 6,2-litre V8 engine, couldn't get any more impressive, think again. the tuner Hennessey performance has wielded his magic wrench set and given the mighty Caddy an upgrade so impressive it might take your breath away. The Blackwing, which comes as standard with 670 hp and a torque of 893 Nm and can reach speeds of over 330 km/h, has been really pimped up by Hennessey.

With the H1000 package the Ami now manages to do it fabulously 1.014 PS, or for our techies, 746 kW. The torque has been increased to a gigantic proportion 1.310 Nm raised. And the result? The Blackwing now reaches the 100 km/h mark in just 2,5 seconds and races down the quarter mile in an incredible 10,1 seconds.

Yes, you read that right, 10,1 seconds for a family sedan! But how exactly did Hennessey do that? Well, a number of modifications were necessary, including an improved one intake systemNew Exhaust valves, improved engine components, stainless steel manifold or ported cylinder heads. The standard compressor was also replaced by a High performance compressor replaced, and the Fuel Supply also received an upgrade. A new Software bundles all the modifications, and of course the impressive power and torque figures have been confirmed in black and white on the dyno.

Subtle exterior, monster at heart

Externally, however, there are only subtle indications of the animal that slumbers under the hood. The Blackwing boasts discreet Hennessey and H1000 logos and one numbered plaque in the engine bay, but there's no flashy body kit to draw attention. The only significant external changes that catch the eye on the photo vehicle in golden yellow are the Hennessey Forged Wheels with ten spokes and the subtle one Lowering. The Hennessey magic certainly comes at a price, but it also comes with a reassuring two-year/24.000-mile (38.624 km) warranty.

And before you pick up your phone to book your CT5-V for conversion, know that the H1000 upgrade just for that Blackwing model of the CT5-V is applicable. Production is set to start in August, but the price of the impressive upgrade remains a mystery. Hennessey Performance have proven once again that they are not afraid to push the boundaries and make the impossible possible.
