Alpine Style Carica & Havana Restomod based on Toyota!

For fans of so-called restomod conversions, the Alpine Style team created something very special at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Curtain up for the Carica based on the Toyota Hiace van and the Havana based on the Toyota Raize. The latter gets a new nose that's a bit reminiscent of an old Chevrolet Blazer, and the remodeled Hiace could also serve as a reinterpretation for the Scooby Doo gear. The Carica name is a portmanteau of "California Dreaming Car", which was the inspiration for the modified Toyota van. Alpine Style shows it in two variants. The US-style show car has a two-tone body in teal and white, with chrome parts on the grille, bumper, mirror caps, tailgate and rims.

The Euro Style variant, on the other hand, has brushed metal aprons and black accents on the exterior. Technically, the interior features Alpine equipment. You can see an 11 inch (approx. 28 cm) infotainment screen, there is a digital 12 inch (approx. 30 cm) rear view mirror and a 12,8 inch (approx. 33 cm) display for the passengers in the back seats. The new sound system has lighting around the tweeters and in the back of the van there is a bed and an expandable tent for sleeping outdoors.

Incidentally, the look of the Havana is inspired by the classics that are still on the move in Cuba's capital. The new grille, the frames around the headlights and the bumpers are covered in chrome, and there are even sequential turn signals under the four square main headlights. In the interior of this vehicle, Alpine has installed a 9,0 inch (approx. 23 cm) infotainment screen and also a digital 12 inch (approx. 30 cm) rear view mirror. A display for the rear passengers is also available as an option.

Orders are accepted

And in this case, too, the tuner has significantly upgraded the sound system. In addition to exhibiting the vehicles at the Alpine booth at the Tokyo Auto Salon, Alpine Style also accepts orders at the show. The starting price for the Carica is around 4,98 million yen (approx. €35.580) and the Havana is expected to cost around 3,98 million yen (approx. €28.435), according to Car Watch Impress.
