Carlex Design builds the widest Land Rover Defender!

And the tuning creations continue with "Green cast“From Carlex Design (+ Pickup-Design). After X class "EXY", the McLaren 720s, G-Class and the AMG GT R Pro now comes another vehicle in the beautiful British Racing Green. Curtain up for them Land Rover Defender Widebody Racing Green Edition by Carlex Design. An at least 85.000 euro copy with a body kit in the style of MINI John Cooper Works GP and a dreamy interior. All Racing Green editions have the dark green brushed look in common, which is of course inspired by the legendary British Racing Green. And that's what the Defender looks like. The lower part up to the top edge of the door was wrapped in a dark emerald green and then there was the noble brushed surface, which is applied using a unique technique. And the sporty character of the Carlex Defender should be underlined with a lot of carbon accessories.

Carlex produces aggressive fender flares all around, there was a hood cover with power dome and even a carbon spare wheel cover with Carlex lettering is installed. The radiator grille, on the other hand, has not changed and the aprons are still those of the series, apart from the extensions installed on both sides. For this purpose, the Racing Green Editions are staged with a white porcelain stripe over the body. And also a large black wheel set with five by three spokes in an estimated 22 inches was installed by Carlex Design. This is an in-house light alloy wheel that we have already seen in part on the vehicles linked at the beginning. The exterior design is completed by a series of emblems and lettering. And the cabin is no less spectacular.

Cognac interior as an homage to racing vehicles

There was a brand new leather interior in a combination of leather in cognac tones and dark green, which refers to the exterior of the L663. The cognac interior pays homage to the iconic combination of brown and green tones of the racing cars of the time, which are just celebrating their centenary. The sheathing of the leather interior is equipped with unique decorations in the form of perforations and seams, which give the interior an almost artistic dimension. The sportily modified seats and the many carbon elements still give the interior a dynamic character. After all, you want to exude some racing atmosphere.

Incidentally, the driver is holding a Racing Green Edition leather steering wheel with a completely new design, which is also covered with brown, perforated leather. The lower and upper parts are even brushed green in the style of the body. Each Racing Green Edition vehicle has a serial number and a project nameplate installed. This is another way of pointing out the exclusivity. Carlex says: "The Land Rover Racing Green Edition is a version that emphasizes the unruly nature of the Defender, making it even more predatory and unique. What is certain is that it will be difficult to pass him by with complete indifference". That could be true! By the way, with CARLEX DESIGN GERMANY GMBH & CO. KG even has a German branch in Bayreuth.
