The average car buyer will probably never ask themselves whether they should buy one for $200.000 Restomod-Pickup should be placed in the garage as a hobby vehicle. This sum is simply far too high for that, and when you think of such sums of money, you tend to associate them with super sports cars, but only in the rarest of cases with a pickup truck that is almost 70 years old. But Earth Motor Cars, an exclusive Texas car dealership, now offers one Chevrolet 3100 from 1955 for sale for $199.990. We would like to introduce you to the very special sweetheart in more detail.
Green car in pickup suit!
The Chevy has some characteristics of various Corvette generations and it starts with the paintwork. Lime rock green, a color that is very rarely found on a Corvette, makes the tuned pickup look classy. In addition, the round LED headlights on the front and the redesigned grille, which gives the classic load master a diabolical grin, perfectly match the vehicle.
Only the body is still reminiscent of the 1955 Chevy 3100, because the entire chassis is a custom-made product by Roadster Shop, which goes by the name REVO. Unique custom rims are also on the vehicle, which has been completely technically overhauled. In front there is an independent suspension for more comfort and safety and a Performance braking system from Baer with disc brakes all around ensures optimal deceleration values.
Completely restored interior!
The cockpit was completely furnished with brown leather and modern features such as two cup holders and an LCD monitor in the center console were also introduced into the classic car. Classic round instruments are located behind the sporty three-spoke steering wheel, which is made of wood and aluminum. From our point of view, however, it is dangerous that the vehicle has no headrests and only lap belts. Especially considering the horrendous performance of the engine. You could have upgraded (had to)!
A LS3V8- Naturally aspirated petrol drives the classic!
The engine does not require any electrification or downsizing. The large-displacement V8 petrol engine generates rich thanks to some modifications carried out by Don Hardy Race Cars 550 HP. Among other things, the car has electronic injection from Holley, a performance intake from Borla and other tuning parts that make it possible to achieve full power. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately, we have no information on the driving performance.
Our conclusion:
- Even if this one Restomod can hardly be surpassed in terms of exclusivity, and only 111 miles (approx. 179 km) since the restoration was moved, just under 200.000 US dollars is a hefty price. We are not sure if the vehicle is really worth the asking price. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!

I am disappointed in this truck build. Engine leaks oil on your garage floor.
The doors do not seal at all . When you turn the wheel it rubs. And right front ball joint when you turn rubs into brake rotor. Motor loads up and back fires. No power like a 550 hp engine. One sad day for me . I know I bought it. Don Spillers
