DAMD Suzuki Jimny: now with rally charm in a compact format!

The Suzuki Jimny, known everywhere and particularly popular because of the good off-road capability and the cool look, experienced by the Japanese tuning company DAMD another fascinating transformation. Known for their very own expertise in building unique ones Body kits for Japanese small cars, DAMD has for the upcoming one Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 (Date: Fri, Jan 12, 2024 – Sun, Jan 14, 2024) announced two spectacular conversions that pay homage to the legendary European rally cars Renault 5 and Lancia Delta Integrale are. The first creation transforms the Jimny into a reinterpretation of the classic Renault 5. The look is enhanced by special Headlights and another radiator grill achieved, both of which are reminiscent of the French city car.

Weiße OZ rims also give the Jimny a rally look, while the small one Spoiler at the rear is supposed to be a reference to the wing of the original Renault 5. A sticker also creates a humorous touch, pointing out that the model is in contrast to the original Renault 5 Turbo - without turbo comes. The second variant, on the other hand, is based on the iconic one Lancia Delta Integrale. Catch here four round headlights and yellow fog lights, which are integrated into the bumper, give the classic look of the Italian rally legend. And another more striking difference is this major spoilers at the rear, which gives the Jimny an evil and at the same time dynamic appearance.

Despite the visual transformation, the Jimny's technical specifications remain unchanged. In Japan it is dominated by a tiny 658 cc three-cylinder with turbocharger powered, which only produces a tired 64 hp - a necessity because of the strict conditions Kei car regulations. But on international markets there is a slightly stronger one 1,5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 102 hp available. However, the key data in terms of performance remain in the DAMD models completely unchanged, so the focus is purely on the visual enhancement.
