Project Harmony: ECD Series II Defender with 430 PS V8

ECD Automotive Design, known for prestigious Land Rover Defender conversions, has now restored and unveiled a Series IIA vehicle. The completion of this specimen is also the start of the vintage icon for the luxury class of the British classic of ECD The tuner is one of the world's leading companies for tailor-made and completely rebuilt luxury Defender. The project Harmony started in the year 2013. While many of ECD's vehicles are typically purchased and commissioned by companies, this copy of the Series IIA was commissioned by a private individual for a full restoration. After a few generations of family ownership, the customer wanted to breathe new life into the vehicle.

And with 430 PS & 550 NM torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, this is impressively successful. After all, the oldi now has almost four times the performance of the original. On the outside, the vehicle has a glossy finish in "Aintree green" and in the interior, Project Harmony has installed high-quality Torino Terrier leather in elegant brown. And all conversions by ECD usually contain a lot of modern technology such as WiFi, Bluetooth, a sound system or a new instrument cluster. This vehicle is not! Unlike the defenders built by ECD so far, the Project Harmony retains everything as it was then. This is especially true for the classic big white displays on the original dashboard. And this Defender has nevertheless devoured incredible 2.200 working hours. And the result is enchantingly nostalgic and absolutely breathtaking.

Simple yet robust, the 2A series wants to be a statement for buyers and enthusiasts who are looking for a versatile and powerful classic car without any modern gimmicks. Due to the Chevrolet 6.2L LS3-V8 under the hood, the 6-speed automatic (6L80E), the Borla Performance sports exhaust system and many other modern parts, it is still a "Restomod vehicle“And not a classically restored classic car that would ever receive an H license plate in this country. If we receive more information or pictures from 2013 to 2019 in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report.
