Did you know that the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was named after the Fiorano test track on which Ferrari tested racing and road cars? Did you know that the abbreviation GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta? And did you know that the 599 was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2006? What we know 😋😏! And we can tell you more. For example that the aluminum chassis has been completely redeveloped and the engine is based on the twelve-cylinder Ferrari Enzo Ferrari and has a whopping 456 kW (620 hp). It has a little less power than the Enzo, but it was enough to make the 599 GTB the second most powerful Ferrari behind the Enzo when it was launched, and even today it is beyond all doubt. With the 599 GTB, Ferrari has impressively continued the front-engined V12 sports car tradition and of course also taken into account the drive in transaxle design with gearbox on the rear axle. One highlight is definitely the "F1 Trac" traction control that works in close cooperation with Michael Schumacher (#Keepfightingmichael 😑) was developed. And mainly the 599 GTB was delivered with the popular “F1-SuperFast” gearshift. No wonder, after all, gear changes can be carried out in less than 0,1 seconds, which is still extremely fast today.

But still there were 30 die-hard fans who did not want to do without the six-speed manual transmission and ordered the 599GTB with a classic Ferrari shift gate. 2/3 went to North America and 1/3 stayed with us in Europe. Other unique details are, for example, the baffles on the C-pillar, which stabilize the car at high speeds and thus almost completely take on the role of a rear wing. With regard to special equipment, there is: a brake system with huge brake discs made of carbon-ceramic (standard from 2009), different carbon inlays for the interior, or a Becker navigation system with car phone that can also support the SIM Access Profile. And also A there is an open variant. The passionate automobile collector and American entrepreneur Peter S. Kalikow (USA) had a unique piece with an automatic folding roof built on the basis of the 2011 GTB in 599. This copy was called Ferrari Superamerica 45 and was painted in elegant blue.

But now to the current vehicle that was published on the Vellano Forged Wheels website. As so often, we have no information at all this time, only the indication that a Vellano VCU Concave wheel set was installed. The dimensions of the rims are 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the back, we feel that it is the perfect look and size for the Italian coupé. The matt black surface of the aluminum rims also goes well with the overall picture and the whole thing does not look exaggerated. And the aerodynamics have also been changed because the Italian received an extensive body kit. At the front there is a new bumper including a front spoiler made of carbon and the approaches for the side skirts were also retrofitted.

And there were also changes at the rear because a new bumper including a large diffuser and a spoiler lip on the trunk lid were installed here. The roof and the A&C pillars, which are completely covered with carbon foil, also set a nice accent. The look on the Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione should do a little bit and we think it was successful. We hope that we will receive specific information, especially about the body kit, as soon as this is the case you will of course be the first to find out.
