Early last year (March 2015) Ford has introduced the new Focus RS at the Geneva Motor Show and showed what the 2,3 liter big EcoBoost four-cylinder engine (with 317PS in the Ford Mustang) is really capable. The sporty Hot Hatch comes from the factory with a full 350PS & 440NM torque that ensures that the RS flies to 4,7 km / h in just 100 seconds and only brushes the sails at 268 km / h. Nice gimmicks like an overboost function (allows 15NM for 470 seconds) or the standard all-wheel drive set the new model apart from its predecessor. The Focus is also an optically alternative to the VW Golf R or Mercedes A45 AMG. Large aprons with powerful air inlets, a huge roof spoiler or a conspicuous diffuser with right & left exhaust systems clearly show that restraint was not the topic. It is logical that the RS also plays an important role in the tuning segment and so it is not surprising that after a short time tuners like Roush performance with 500PS & more ogle.
But not only the performance tolerates the one or the other update, also on the optics you can certainly put a little hand. Some time ago, the TAG Motorsports team presented a RS that you missed a matt black HRE Vintage 505 wheelset. But not only the new alloy wheels make the difference to the Focus RS, also the extreme lowering by means of AccuAir Airride suspension clearly shows that the owner of the series optics clearly wanted to get to grips with. For us it is the first Focus RS that we see with an Airride air suspension and the combination with the HRE Alu's can definitely be described as successful. There isn't much more to say about the car so we leave it with the pictures. If we get more information about the modifications to the Focus RS, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
