HGP VW Golf 8 GTI with almost 400 hp: more power for GTI and more!

The renowned tuner HGP has an impressive new performance increase for the VW Golf 8 GTI (MK8) and other models with the identical 2.0 TSI "Gen. 4 engine” developed. The increase in performance applies to vehicles built from 2021 and mobilizes significant performance improvements for models such as the Audi TT, the Cupra Leon, the Cupra Formentor and the Skoda Octavia RS. The performance increase offered increases the engine performance of the 2.0 TSI basic engine with a standard output of 245 hp to an impressive 373 hp and the torque increases to 526 Nm. This is mainly achieved by an adapted engine electronics with V/max. cancellation. In addition, HGP increases the clutch pressure for the DSG clutch and optimizes the air supply to the air filter box. A K&N air filter element and a larger volume intake hose to the turbocharger (in blue or black) are also included.

The increase in performance is TÜV-registered and is visible through an HGP engine cover and a blue turbocharger hose. Thanks to the power increase, the GTI can accelerate from 5,6 to 0 km/h in just around 100 seconds, although it should also be possible to achieve around 5,2 seconds. However, the front-wheel drive makes it difficult. However, the acceleration from 100 to 200 km/h is much more important and, at around 5 seconds faster than the series (around 10,2 seconds for the HGP), is a statement. According to the speedometer, the top speed is now 300 km/h, while the production version is capped at 250 km/h.

cost and installation

The cost of the service package is € 6.400 (incl. VAT) and installation is included in the price. The vehicle presented in the video has beautiful black OZ rims in 19 inches with Pirelli P Zero tires in 235/35 R19 format. And of course the video showing the power boost in action is from the channel again Motor OliTV on Youtube. And finally ... The HGP performance increase for the Golf 8 GTI (MK8) and others is impressive due to the fact that it is to a certain extent only achieved by means of software. In addition, the TÜV registration and a reasonably bearable price. What more could you want? If we get more information, there will of course be an update for this report.
