Kai Burkhard did not necessarily have an eye on the mainstream when he was flirting with the purchase of a fun car. It almost became a Humvee, but the military primitive has a flaw: Sense is at 80 km / h! This ultimately led to the idea of the Syberia RS, a 911 for all purposes. Implementation began with the purchase of an 86 Porsche G-model in collector's condition, which Kai brought from Japan. This was followed by the first design drafts, later the modification of the wheel cutouts and the production of the fender flares, the installation of a massive roll cage as a life-saving measure and the implementation on the topic of "truck tires on Fuchs rims", a chapter in itself.
completely new chassis geometry
Countless other jobs took months to complete. The interior was also redesigned according to Kai's ideas. When it came to perfecting traction, dynamics and driving comfort, the "Taylor-Made" department of H&R Spezialfedern came into play. However, after a detailed investigation, the series chassis of the G-model did not offer a basis to meet the client's demands. The development engineers released the standard torsion bar springs of the Porsche into the scrap metal and built a completely new chassis geometry. As a replacement for the torsion bars, individually manufactured spring-bearing shock absorbers with variable height adjustment function, which have been matched to the immense spring travel.
special spring plates and support bearings
This went hand in hand with the construction of special spring plates and support bearings, while RS stabilizers ensure the necessary directional stability and precise driving behavior. The result of the final test drives was met with complete enthusiasm. Incidentally, these are also shared by the readers of the H&R social media channels. H&R has already received several inquiries about the chassis reproduction of the Burkhard 911er. Is there a continuation? We'll keep you up to date! Have fun looking at the pictures and the video and stay true to us!
