For Singer is for Restomods known on a Porsche basis. Many of Singer's one-offs, which are based on older 911 generations, regularly achieved record sums at automobile auctions. The company was founded by Rob Dickinson in California and the company name is a tribute to the legendary German Porsche engineer Norbert Singer. Incidentally, Dickinson was also the guitarist and lead singer of a rock band called Catherine Wheel, which made music with limited success. However, Rob Dickinson's tuning and restomod forge is far more successful, because with conversions based on Porsche, the Californian made it world famous in the automotive scene. We would like to introduce you to the latest project from Singer today.

Carbon body in classic design

Built entirely according to a familiar knitting pattern, the "Kensington Porsche 911 by Singer“ optically strongly reminiscent of the first generation of the nine-eleven. Nevertheless, it has a state-of-the-art carbon body and a active rear spoiler, which extends automatically at higher speeds to increase downforce. It was painted according to customer requirements in the color Red Blood Dark, while the interior shines in cognac brown. The five-spokeDrop center rims in a classic way give the retro athlete a noble touch and special nickel accents round off the elegant appearance.

Interior: classic and with modern features

The cockpit with the cognac brown accents is in the style of the first generation of the 911. Classic round instruments and a puristic design make Porsche fans' eyes light up all over the world. Nevertheless, modern things like one can be found in the car Air conditioning or a Navigation system. And what is surprising is that the steering wheel is on the "wrong" side, even though the vehicle was built and designed in the USA.

Four-liter boxer engine without turbo drives the XNUMX!

It is powered by a naturally aspirated four-liter boxer engine with six cylinders, the power and torque of which we unfortunately do not know. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. We also don't know anything about the driving performance of the neo-classic, but it should be on a high level.

Our conclusion:

  • A successful project that shows the potential in the "old" 911 plugged. The shape is timeless, beautiful and classic, so it will not look homely in the future either.
