KW DDC Plug and Play coilovers in the Audi RS3 (GY)!

Perfect road holding at the push of a button: KW develops DDC plug-and-play coilovers for the new Audi RS3 (GY)! Many vehicles have electronically adjustable chassis control systems ex works. KW automotive has successfully introduced its KW DDC plug-and-play coilovers for over 150 vehicle models. These chassis, which are compatible with the vehicle electronics of various automobile brands, are now also available for the current generation of the Audi RS3 (GY) with adaptive DCC damper control. Various driving modes can be easily selected via the RS3 series buttons, which adjust the damping characteristics of the coilover suspension to be firmer or more comfortable. As part of the parts certificate, the installation of the KW DDC plug-and-play (from 2.594 euros) enables a stepless lowering of up to 45 millimeters in the new RS3. For RS3 models without optional DCC series sports suspension, we recommend retrofitting the KW V3 coilover suspension, which can be manually adjusted in compression and rebound (from 1.999 euros). For RS3 drivers who are only interested in a subtle lowering, the chassis manufacturer has developed height-adjustable coil springs (from 556 euros). These enable a lowering of about 20 millimeters. The adaptive KW DDC plug-and-play coilovers are already available for current Audi models such as the Audi Q3 (F3), Audi RS Q3 (F3) and Audi S3 (GY). With immediate effect, these suspensions, whose damping characteristics can be electronically adjusted, are also available for the Audi RS3 Sedan and the Audi RS3 Sportback. "In the previous models, the automobile manufacturer used a different chassis control system," explains KW Brand Manager Florian Johann. "Audi has now switched to the so-called DCC suspension technology for selected vehicles, which is compatible with our DDC suspensions." When converting to a KW DDC plug&play coilover suspension (2.594 euros) in the Audi RS3 (GY), the original Audi DCC -Chassis connector connected to the compatible connector of the KW DDC damper. The standard on-board electronics then immediately recognize the adaptive coilover kit.

Sport program or driving comfort at the push of a button!

If the different modes are selected in the "Audi-drive-select operating environment", the KW chassis adapts accordingly. By being integrated into the on-board electronics, the damping characteristics of the DDC dampers constantly react to the respective driving situation, taking into account the acceleration and braking processes and steering. Depending on the selected dynamics program, the chassis tuning is firmer or more comfortable. "According to the respective setting, the Audi RS3 drives in a sporty, harmonious or comfortable manner even with a maximum lowering of 40 millimeters on the front axle and 45 millimeters on the rear axle - even with a maximum payload," continues Florian Johann. The 400 hp RS3 with its robust five-cylinder turbo sound remains even easier to control with the coilover suspension, even with a sporty driving style. The typical pitching and rolling movements of the body structure are significantly reduced.

"If the four-door Audi RS3 sedan or the five-door Audi RS 3 Sportback does not have adaptive dampers, our best-selling chassis, the KW V3, is recommended for retrofitting," continues Florian Johann from KW Brand Management. This KW coilover kit, which is also made of stainless steel, has the option of individually adjusting the dampers independently in the compression and rebound forces. "Similar to what is the case with our Audi Sport Performance Parts suspension for the Audi TT RS." The KW V3 coilover suspension is available from 1.999 euros. As with the DDC plug-and-play, the manually adjustable coilover suspension enables stepless lowering from 20 to 40 millimeters on the front axle and 25 to 45 millimeters on the rear axle. If maximum lowering in connection with more driving dynamics is not desired, height-adjustable coil springs are also available from KW. The springs offered for 556 euros in connection with the standard chassis allow a stepless lowering of 0 to 20 millimeters.
