Land Rover Defender as a Yachting Edition by Carlex Design!

After the Polish tuner Carlex Design already received a lot of encouragement for the Mercedes-Benz X-Class (W 470) and G63 as Yachting Edition (W463A) harvested, the company is now apparently planning the new Land Rover Defender as a refined one Yachting edition to bring to market. With a few virtual pictures you already give a view of what the L663 as the yachting counterpart of Carlex could look like. Just as opulent as the Stuttgart version. The Land Rover Defender Yachting Edition is according to Carlex "Made for those who prefer luxury, love a sunny marine style and require off-road performance and a high level of reliability". And if Carlex actually converts the renderings into reality, then the project should probably be 100% fulfilled.

22 or 23 inch alloy wheels

As with the G63, the Defender Yachting Edition also enjoys a silver-painted and hand-brushed lower half of the body and apparently the roof should also get the noble look. To do this, you put the Defender on 22 or 23 inch light alloy wheels with a brushed surface, which we already saw at the G YACHTING EDITION. Although the virtually installed rims are fitted with Yokohama Advan tires in "18" (235 / 40R18 91W), this is probably just a minor mistake. The wheelset is definitely a few sizes larger. On the back there is a new spare wheel cover with "Yachting Edition" lettering and compass rose (Compass rose) and various emblems and lettering all around ensure the necessary exclusivity.

In contrast to the silver paintwork of the body, the bonnet, the A / B / C pillars and the lower parts of the aprons and doors are painted black. And of course the interior of the Defender has also been extensively revised. Not quite “as special” as the outer skin, but all Carlex changes are immediately and clearly visible. As with the yachting vehicles linked at the beginning based on Mercedes-Benz, Carlex Design also offers two available combinations for the Defender. On the one hand there is cream-colored upholstery with wood decor and on the other hand there is a variant with a caramel-colored leather interior and various light-colored inserts. Both variants are combined with brushed silver elements as an allusion to the outer skin and, by the way, the seats even got a new contour for a sportier touch in the course of the revision.

There is also particularly high-quality wood paneling in the interior on the doors, the center console and the dashboard and some wood has even made it to the steering wheel. The largest components made of wood are definitely those for the footwell, the seat backs and the trunk floor, which is completely lined with wood. We would only recommend entering the cabin with slippers and it is best not to load the noble trunk floor at all. And the wood applications also have Carlex Design lettering in various places.
