MANHART MHX5 700 - fierce BMW X5 M with 730 hp!

BMW recently presented the facelift (LCI) of the performance SUV X5 M. Despite the revised front end that characterizes the new model, the pre-LCI is by no means outdated. Especially when the powerful all-wheel drive vehicle undergoes optical and technical optimization in the workshop in Wuppertal by the specialists from MANHART Performance: The youngest MHX5 700, the sixth of a total of only ten copies, proves this impressively. At MANHART, the standard 4,4-liter biturbo V8 of the X5 M, which delivers 625 hp & 750 Nm, is given even more power. Thanks to the in-house MANHART MHtronik additional control unit, the performance increases to an impressive 730 PS & 900 Nm.

The MANHART stainless steel exhaust system with valve control, which in this case ends in carbon-coated OEM tailpipes from BMW's M-Performance Parts program, ensures an even more dominant acoustic appearance. In addition, MANHART race downpipes without catalytic converters and MANHART stainless steel OPF delete pipes are installed. However, these components do not have TÜV approval and are intended exclusively for export.

The chassis of the MHX5 700 features MANHART coilover struts from KW Suspensions. The individual height adjustment and lowering not only enable optimized driving dynamics, but also contribute to the sporty look. The large-format MANHART Classic-Line Y-spoke rims are also perfectly positioned under the fenders: They measure 11×23 inches, have a Silk Matt Black finish and a combination of double and Y-spokes. The right tires measure stately 315/25 ZR23.

numerous carbon attachments

MANHART also refined the body of the fast Munich car with numerous carbon add-on parts. The front end gets a front spoiler, air intake inserts in the apron and modified kidneys. The rear view is made even more distinctive by a diffuser, several apron attachments and a two-part spoiler lip below the rear window. Two-piece side skirts and attachments on the front fenders also continue the carbon look between the axles. While all the components mentioned so far are MANHART parts, the team rounds it all off with carbon mirror caps and a carbon roof edge spoiler from the M Performance Parts portfolio.

The eye-catcher factor of the sixth MHX5 700 is additionally increased by the typical MANHART decal set: Numerous decorative strips in matt black and conspicuously bright red are distributed over the gray painted vehicle. MANHART has also made some improvements in the interior to increase comfort and that to optimize appearance. These include new floor mats, shift paddles and steering wheel covers made of carbon. The high-quality details give the interior an even sportier and more luxurious atmosphere.
