And continue the show of the rim label Z-Performance Wheels, After the recently presented pitch-black X5M F85, as well as the no less evil Lamborghini Huracan, now comes a Mercedes. A second generation CLS (218 series) which will soon be replaced by the brand new 257 series. But the Type 218 is still a long way from being old, as this example shows. The highlight is of course the in-house wheelset which was manufactured using the FlowForged process and goes by the name of "ZP2.1 Deep Concave".
The wheelset is fitted to the front axle in the dimensions 9,5 × 20 inches and the rear wheel arches are filled by impressive 11 × 20 inch large rollers. And who knows the body of the Stuttgart, knows that such a wheelset can not be stowed easily in the wheel arches. So it is not surprising that the CLS had to be widened by a total of five centimeters front and back to make enough space available. By the way, the individual custom finish of the wheels fits perfectly with the Slate Gray livery of the CLS because the rim star shines in the chic gloss black and the rim beds come in Brushed Candy Red.
So that the new wheels sit perfectly in the wheel arches, the body was lowered significantly by means of a lowering module and the whole thing can even be operated via the steering wheel. And speaking of the body: Anyone who thinks this CLS is the top model AMG CLS 63 is wrong. Here is a CLS 500 that was converted to AMG 63. There were also AMG bumpers at the front and rear and the grille also comes from the big brother. And even when it comes to the power of the biturbo V8, one has moved closer to the big 63.
The CLS 500 comes standard with 408 PS (ex works).M 278 DE 46 AL red.) and this copy was persuaded to deliver a full 560 PS from now on, which means that the first copies of the CLS 63 AMG and even the current CLS 63 AMG 4MATIC have a weaker engine. Only the "S" model can go a step further with 585 hp. You can hear this acoustically through a matching AMG exhaust system that comes with straight pipes on this vehicle.
