500.000th Mercedes-Benz G-Class rolled off the assembly line in Graz!

An impressive production anniversary was celebrated in Graz, Austria, the days when the 500.000. example of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class rolled off the assembly line. Since 1979, the off-roader, often referred to as "the best off-road vehicle in the world", has been an unmistakable part of automotive history. The G-Class has built a loyal following over the years who appreciate the striking design and excellent off-road capability. To commemorate this milestone vehicle, the anniversary model was inspired by the 280 1986 GE.

Vintage look of the anniversary model!

The 500.000. G-class model combines iconic design elements from the past with modern details. One of the most striking features is historical Painting in agave green, one of the first colors offered for the G-Class. More subtle elements of the exterior design are the orange turn signals typical of 70s cars. Other nostalgic accents are the historic spare wheel cover with the large Mercedes star, the brand plaque on the tailgate and the 5-spoke aluminum wheel in sterling silver.

Interior with a retro touch!

The interior of the anniversary model pays tribute to the 280 GE from the 80s. The seats are upholstered in the characteristic checkered fabric of the time and the grab handle on the passenger side bears the lettering "No. 500.000" in agave green. The "Schöckl" door sill panel and the door knob with embossed logo are part of G manufaktur's current range of customization options, but with a special touch for the anniversary model.
