The Mini brand is becoming increasingly popular on the global tuning scene. Not only in Great Britain, but also in Asia, the speedsters, which are usually considered cute and sweet, are often refined and modified. This is also the case in China, where these two tuning cars that we are presenting to you today do their rounds.
Mini Cooper S Roadster (R59)
The open Englishman, which is considered a sportier offshoot of the Mini Cabrio, got a new one radiator grill with black honeycomb optics, an active JCW rear wing, a JCWbodykit with wide side skirts, a KW V3 coilover kit with individually adjustable tie rods and a new brake system from AP Racing.
In addition, a Camber-Tuning performed with negative camber to achieve a more radical look. The roadster also got new 18-inch five-spoke wheels with a silver finish, polished beds and a drop center look. In the interior there was a dished sports steering wheel in a three-spoke design. Further modifications were apparently not made in the cockpit.
Mini Cooper S Clubman (R55)
The unusually designed multi-purpose Mini, with the striking split doors at the rear, has been completely revised. A JCW body kit with a roof spoiler, side skirts and new radiator grille inserts gives the little one a more aggressive appearance. A KW-V3 coilover kit and an AP brake system of the type 5200 should not be missing, as well as 18-inch aluminum from Advan, which bear the model name RSD. The aluminum impresses with its shiny chrome finish and multi-spoke design. Furthermore, one Dueling AG air scoop installed on the hood.
There is also a sports exhaust system with two tailpipes. In the interior, changes were also made and there were Additional Devices for temperatures and pressures from JCW. However, a central instrument cluster from Duell AG is the highlight. There is also a gear knob and handbrake lever handle from Craven Speed, a Bluetooth upgrade for the infotainment system and a high-end AWAVE AST11 sound system with a trunk subwoofer, high-end Lexus tweeter and Harman Kardon midrange driver.
The drive of the vehicles seems identical!
The vehicles are powered by a 1,6-liter turbo petrol engine, each of which has been boosted to 1 hp and 240 Newton meters of maximum torque with the help of Stage 315 tuning. In addition, a High performance air filter installed by K&N to ensure more permeability. It is shifted via a manual six-speed gearbox and the power is transmitted exclusively to the front wheels.
