Actually, the Porsche Cayman 987c as an R with up to 330 HP (243 KW) and 370 Newton meters of torque from a 3,4-liter six-cylinder boxer is motorized quite well. After all, in combination with the PDK transmission, the Cayman managed to accelerate to 5,9 km / h in just 100 seconds and to reach a maximum speed of 282 km / h (manual transmission). But that was far from enough for the owner of this specimen. Without further ado, a 5,0-liter Coyote V8 vacuum cleaner was stuffed from a Ford Mustang GT into the Cayman. The car was already used by Team P in 2016ower By The Hour Performance published on YouTube and discovered by Road & Track. The Motor swap delivers measured 438 hp (319 kW) and 494 Nm (364 lb-ft) on the wheel, which should correspond to approx. 500 hp engine power. We only notice the missing partition to the cabin as a real problem. In the long run, this is hardly acoustically bearable!

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
