Anyone who doesn't necessarily expect the usual horsepower monsters under the hood of a first-generation Porsche Cayenne S, built in 2004, could be happy with this former sales announcement. Because this copy comes with a few tuning tweaks and - hold on tight – a 1,9 liter TDI four-cylinder from Volkswagen. Yes, you heard right. Instead of the roaring V8 engine typically associated with a Cayenne, a 1,9-liter TDI four-cylinder from VW was installed. The longitudinally installed diesel, which delivers 150 hp, could originally have come from a VW Golf, Bora/Jetta or Sharan built between 2000 and 2007. The engine is also coupled to a six-speed manual transmission from a Touareg 2.5 TDI.

But don't worry, not everything has changed. The factory four-wheel drive of the Cayenne with the fully functional locking differential remained. And why the surprising modification? The owner revealed that the converted Cayenne is now much more efficient. Where the old V8 petrol engine barely managed with less than 20 liters per 100 kilometers, the new four-cylinder diesel is at least twice as economical. But it's not just under the hood that things have changed. Changes were also made to the interior, including a new infotainment system. A 10-inch touchscreen display with the Android operating system now takes care of the entertainment. And more light is provided by LED lights that have been built into the OEM halogen lights.
