Almost 1.200 hp in the Renntech Mercedes-AMG GT63 4-door coupé!

A new masterpiece from tuner Renntech, known for its ability to make powerful Mercedes even more powerful, is here. The latest project is none other than based on the Mercedes-AMG GT63 4-Door Coupé (X 290), which comes with a stunning upgrade called RIX (pronounced arr-three-ex) was enriched. The kit is a combination of an extremely impressive performance upgrade and a functional exterior aerodynamics package, giving the AMG an aggressive yet elegant look. Under the hood, the GT4,0's twin-turbocharged 177-liter M8 V63 engine is transformed into a ferocious beast, delivering an incredible 1.196 PS & 1.257 NM of torque. Compared to the 639 PS & 900 NM of the standard version, almost twice as much!

The heart of the tuning package consists of completely new Stage II high-performance turbochargers, a specially tuned engine control unit (chip tuning), a carbon air intake system and high-pressure fuel pumps, and other smaller details. However, vehicle performance varies depending on the type of fuel used. The full 1.196 hp are only available with 100 octane fuel (Aral Ultimate or Shell V-Power etc.) reachable. With 93 octane fuel, the numbers drop slightly to a still impressive 965 hp and 1.243 NM torque.

For optimal performance development, Renntech has modified the standard nine-speed automatic transmission (AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G) using a Transmission Control Unit and Drive Control Unit. Of course, the 4matic all-wheel drive remains in place, which enables a sprint to 60 miles per hour (approx. 97 km/h) in an incredible 2,44 seconds. The 100 miles per hour (approx. 161 km/h) mark is reached in just 5,5 seconds, while the quarter mile in a breathtaking 9,9 seconds and at a speed of 139 miles per hour (approx. 224 km/h) is completed. Externally, Renntech installed a custom-designed carbon aerodynamics package.

The kit includes a front splitter, a revised front apron, two-piece side skirts, a rear diffuser and an adjustable rear wing - all designed to improve the vehicle's downforce. There was also full foiling in matt red. The GT63 is also equipped with Renntech RPS 10.2 forged aluminum wheels, measuring 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear, which are covered with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. As a final touch, the Monster AMG has a new sports exhaust system from Renntech. It is made of stainless steel, has downpipes with 200-cell catalytic converters and is equipped with special performance silencers. The system not only reduces the exhaust back pressure, but also improves the sound with electronically controlled flaps that can be adjusted as desired.

And Renntech has fitted the GT63 with distinctive RIIIx badges, further underscoring the car's distinctive and individual design. According to Renntech, the impressive RIIIx package is limited to a limited edition, underlining its exclusive character. Nevertheless, quality has its price. Priced at $94.980 for the upgrade package, it's a clear statement for all car lovers who don't want to compromise on performance and looks. It's a unique way to make the Mercedes-AMG GT63 4-Door Coupe (X 290) an even more impressive powerhouse. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
