It is the mega-successful truck from Ford - the F-150! It was the first time in history that a diesel engine made the 3,0 liter V6 pickup with 253 PS and 597 Newtonmeter torque surprisingly economical. After all, so supposedly not more than 7,8l be consumed at 100 km / h. Whoever believes ... And for exactly this copy, the Japanese tuner Pandem rocketbunny tra-kyoto is now working on an extensive body kit. But here you have not refined the small diesel, but grabbed the F-150 sports pick-up Raptor. With a length of 5,60 m, a new 3,5-liter V6 biturbo petrol engine and an output of 331 kW (450 hp), the Ami is the typical “big chunk” ex works.

But Pandem wants to make you even fatter and is already working on an extensive widebody kit. The first virtual images show a large spoiler lip for the front bumper, massive fender flares with exposed screw joints at the front and rear and modified side skirts. At the rear, no changes seem to be planned at the moment because the bumper built in here is the factory version, which only has laterally suitable attachments for the widenings. The absolute highlight is probably the fact that they also plan to lower the Raptor significantly. At the same time there seems to be an off-road capable wheelset with fat Toyo Tires. Somehow a contradiction in terms as while the new wheelset should actually provide for improved traction off paved roads, the significant lowering, and the spoiler lip built in front, probably oppose that.

Possibly, however, one considers the lowering by means of Airride-Luftfahrwerk to achieve so that can be raised on request by means of a simple push of a button, the body to a level that allows the off-road use yet. Regardless of these unexplained properties, the whole project should probably but definitely the absolute eye-catcher on the upcoming 2018 Tokyo Auto Salon (12, Jan. 2018 - 14, Jan. 2018) and will cause a stir. Much more is due to the little information at the moment but not to say so that we leave it for the time being with the virtual images. Of course, if we get new details or first pictures of a real vehicle, there is, as always, an update for this report.
