Can you still remember the tremendous PDG800X widebody kit from Prior Design remember for the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe (C 292)? The boys and girls from M&D exclusive cardesign from Dinslaken have now screwed such a kit onto an AMG GLE 63 S SUV. Even ex works, the GLE 63 S is anything but filigree and reserved, but with the PDG800X widebody kit, the Stuttgart SUV is catapulted to a whole new level. The result is even more powerful, beefier and convinced us all along the line. Incidentally, M&D installed "almost" the entire Prior Kit. The only thing that has been omitted is the optional bonnet with additional air openings and the more pronounced "AMG humps" on both sides. The rest of the PDG800X wide body kit can be seen, however.

Fender flares on the GLE

All around there was the obligatory fender flares without Exposed screw connections and also new aprons for the front and rear are included. The front apron also has a spoiler lip and widenings on both sides and at the back there is a distinctive diffuser that is intended to attract the attention of the environment. There were also matching side skirts and a filigree rear spoiler lip. With the almost obligatory radiator grille in Panamericana style, the changes with regard to the new vehicle components are impressively rounded off. Almost every converted Mercedes in the last few months has the Panamericana grille of the current AMG models and the component also looks excellent on the M&D GLE. Especially due to the dark color scheme.

Full wrapping in brushed black

Because the GLE was given a full wrap in brushed black with glossy black accents and, in addition, all the factory-installed chrome-silver elements such as the brand logos or the model lettering have been eliminated and made in black. And the brand new XXL wheelset is just as gloomy. Although this is not painted black, the custom color Matte Gunmetal but fits perfectly to the black setup of the body. Incidentally, the wheelset are Hamann ANNIVERSARY EVO II rims in the 11 × 23 inch king-size format with tires in the dimensions 305/30 R23 all around. The huge rollers are built in in combination with custom-made track plates and, of course, a lowering is not missing.

Lowering of the factory Airmatic air suspension

M&D achieves the subtle lowering of the GLE by modifying the factory Airmatic air suspension and thus the new wheel set is perfectly fitted into the widened wheel arches. By the way, a look through the filigree spokes of the aluminum reveals the red painted brake calipers of the huge AMG brake system. And last but not least, an exhaust system with flap control including new downpipes was installed on the 585 hp 5,5-liter twin-turbo V8 of the GLE. A proper soundscape based on the brute look is provided. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
