For a long time we didn't have anything from the US tuner Emory Motorsports heard. But now it's that time again and the Porsche specialists based in Oregon have completed a new copy. It is a Restomod Porsche 356 A Coupé that was made from exactly the stuff that dreams are made of. The classic is built in 1959 and was specially made for Eli Kogan from the OTTO Car Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to customer requirements. As is typical for Emory, the vehicle was of course dismantled down to the bare sheet metal and carefully restored from the ground up. And in this example, the B-pillars were even rebuilt so that gill-like ventilation openings could be used in the area of the side walls behind the two doors. They provide access to the oil cooler and the oil filter and have a classic lamella design. An extremely effective method that also looks successful.

And the access flaps are also an allusion to the classic Porsche 718 RS 60 Spyder from the 1960s. Other nice details on the body are beautiful solid door handles made of billet aluminum and the design element on the front hood and the two hinges on the rear engine cover are also made of aluminum. The 356 is completely painted in the noble Aquamarine Blue Metallic and of course this vehicle also has the Outlaw 4 engine from Emory-Rothsport installed. It is derived from the 3,6-liter Porsche engine and thus replaces the factory-fitted 2,6-liter engine. It has four cylinders, its own fuel injection system and a Motec-driven coil-on-plug ignition. With a specially made stroker crankshaft, billet camshafts, individual throttle system and other modifications, it delivers an impressive 260 hp, which is delivered to the rear wheels by means of a manual four-speed gearbox.

Four-piston disc brake system all around

And of course the classic is slowed down again in a species-appropriate manner. With a four-piston disc brake system that is hidden under a set of fake drum brakes. While some as on one Bremsscheibenfake uses to hide the unpopular drum brake, Emory does exactly the opposite. But it fits the vehicle. After all, the modern components should be as inconspicuous as possible. Incidentally, the chassis has independent suspension, there are front and rear pendulum rods, modern rack and pinion steering and fully adjustable dampers are also included. In addition, the 356 A stands on special 15 inch light alloy wheels fitted with Dunlop Signature HP 205 / 55R16 tires. And of course the cabin has also been completely redesigned.

new leather upholstery and cool gear knob

The most important details here are a new leather upholstery, there is a Speedster dashboard, black buttons and switches, an African Padauk wooden gear knob, a cool 3-spoke sports steering wheel and a removable half roll cage is also installed. Of course, countless details such as the ultra-modern headlights front and rear, the prepared circular displays in the dashboard and the tool bag in the trunk are also built into this Emory-Restomod copy. At the end of the article we have put together a large picture gallery with almost 80 pictures for you.
