A new service platform makes it easier to register classic Renault vehicles. Have you come into possession of a historic Renault or Alpine model, but only have incomplete documents at hand to prove the new acquisition's "classic" status? For such cases, Renault has a number of useful services available on the new Originals Renault Services platform for owners of both brands of classic cars and youngtimers, which reduce the bureaucratic effort involved in registration and make it easier to get an H license plate.
"Classic" certificates
With the launch of the new platform Original Renault Services Renault expands its existing range of virtual Original Museum and Originals Store for another building block. Here, classic car fans can obtain the German-language certificates required for the approval and recognition of the vehicles. In just four steps, owners of a Renault or Alpine model that is over 30 years old can apply for a registration certificate with a vintage note or an official production and dating certificate for their vehicle. In addition to the vehicle's manufacturing date, this lists information from the manufacturing log.
GERMAN LANGUAGE RENAULT DOCUMENT
In addition to the French certificate for the registration certificate from the Agence Nationale des Titres Sécurisés (ANTS), classic car fans can also apply for a German-language official Renault document to present to the registration office. The international document contains the exact model designation, age and a description of the most important vehicle characteristics.
EXPRESS SERVICE AND PACKAGES
The cost of a French or international certificate is €75. A production and dating certificate also costs €75. If you would like to receive both the attestation and the certificate, you can get both together for €115. The processing time is four to six weeks. The website also offers a fast service for an extra charge of €40, with which the certificate can be obtained in less than two weeks. “Whether rare or widespread, vintage vehicles often require lengthy and complicated procedures. With Originals Renault Services, we ensure that passion for automobiles is no longer accompanied by unnecessary complications,” says Hugues Portron, Director of Renault Classic. The platform is to be gradually expanded by 2023 to include new categories for the use of classic cars and new exclusive services for collectors. Photo credit: Renault
