For the die-hard BMW enthusiast, one thing is certain: one Carbon roof just part of it. With many models in the M series, it is now almost a must to have the extravagant type of roof design. But what to do when your own favorite model, the M3 Touring (G81), can't come up with the striking detail? That's right, you just build it yourself! That's what the American tuning professional has done R44 performance also thought and dared to take the massive step of replacing the standard tin roof of his M3 Touring with an exclusive carbon roof. But first things first! The M3 Touring (G81) is in the US not officially buy. This makes the example of R44 Performance, which found its way across the Atlantic, an extraordinary vehicle even in the standard condition.

But the rarity didn't stop the tuning enthusiast from making the radical change. At IND distribution in Chicago, the "normal" roof was removed and exchanged for a high-quality one Carbon roof from the accessories of Alpha N exchanged. And if you are now wondering how such a complex conversion works, you can take a closer look at it in the following video. From minute 1:55, the little film shows how the complete roof paneling is removed. The "old" roof is carefully cut out of the body to make room for the new one Carbon roof to accomplish.
The carbon specimen of Alpha N is of course significantly longer compared to the variants of the M4 Coupé (G82) and the M3 Sedan (G81) and must therefore be precisely adapted. After the roof safely glued is, all will panels and the Cables mounted again for the roof antenna. The impressive result can then be admired in the video from minute 3:38. But the carbon roof is just one of many modificationsthat R44 Performance did on the M3 Touring. The vehicle also impresses with a striking Foiling in Khaki Green, giant S21-02 Vossen rims, One Carbon front splitter and other sophisticated tuning details.

A special highlight is the Kidney in the design of the M4 CSL and M3 CS, which only has three crossbars. In addition, the yellow Thazard light elements of the two top models integrated.
