Within a very short time, the conversion to electric drive in classic vehicles has become established and has become a trend. And the team from Recharged Heritage, who offer an e-conversion for the classic Mini, is also part of the party. Prices start at £42.500 (€48.715) if the base car is supplied, or £62.500 (€71.640) if you also want the tuner to organize the donor car. The vehicle in the pictures is an electric Mini with an output of 97 hp (72 kilowatts) powered by an 18 kW battery. According to WLTP, an estimated range of 103 miles (166 kilometers) should be possible. The 6,6 kW charger can charge the battery in around three hours on a 7 kW wall box, or in around 9 hours on a conventional socket. Compared to the series with 850 cm³ four-cylinder and 34 hp (25 kW), the performance is of course an announcement. Even the sporty Mini Cooper with a 997 cm³ engine and 55 hp (41 kW) cannot keep up.

Incidentally, the e-conversion in the Mini comes with two driving modes. With the "Pure" mode, it takes 11,5 seconds to reach 100 km/h and the top speed is 126, while in "Sport mode" the time is reduced to 8,5 or 148 km/h. However, it must also be mentioned that at that time Recharged Heritage stated that the electric motor should even have an output of 120 hp. On the other hand, nothing has changed in the fact that Recharged Heritage makes it possible to reverse the conversion. No new holes have to be drilled for the installation and the Mini doesn't get any heavier either. At least two conversions have already been completed. One was her Mini Paul Smith Edition and the other that of the British artist Lakwena Maciver. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
