Ringbrothers Ford Mustang Cabriolet "CAGED" with Coyote V8!

While last year there were relatively many restored and restomoded Mustangs, it's a whole lot quieter about the classic this year. But now we have once again discovered a real piece of cream, based on a classic Ford Mustang was created in 1964. For fans of the classic Pony cars this special copy is certainly heaven on earth. The original from the 1964 to 1966 series is the latest creation of the ring Brothers and a typical one Restomod. So a complete restored and modified Vehicle. The Mustang convertible project was given the surname "CAGED’ and gives the deceptive impression at first glance that this is just a restored classic. Really obvious changes are – at least for the layman - not immediately apparent.

But the supposed Complete restoration an original 1964.5 Ford Mustang Convertible turns out to be a complete tuning build with countless components from Spring Green, Wisconsin (USA) based hot rod manufacturer and parts supplier "ring Brothers". According to the tuner even "only" the wheel center caps unchanged. The rest is partly more or less modified. From the original 1964.5 Mustang convertible, the chassis was converted into a unibody platform converted, increasing the length and width of the body by 1 inch (2,54 cm). In addition, the Cerakote Titanium C-105P finish was painted front Grill redesigned and at the same time set back by 2 inches (approx. 5 cm) so that the installed under the hood brand new Ford Performance 5,0-liter Coyote V8Crate engine has enough air to breathe from the current Mustang. The new engine also explains that, by the way 302 emblem on the front fender.

According to Ringbrothers, the vehicle's owner was very involved in the project and was keen on an understated, production-like look. So everyone made an effort amendments to lean on the original design of the Mustang, but at the same time to streamline the lines and a number of 3D printed details add to make the result actual unique becomes. After the body was largely discussed and also the Motor Once it was clear, it was time for the classic tuning.

'Uncaged' is the successor!

So the modern V8 got new ones elbow by ring Brothers and also one Flowmaster sports exhaust system is installed. In addition, since the conversion, the service has been provided by a state-of-the-art 10-speed automatic transmission (10R80) from Ford to the rear wheels. And these same wheels are also worth a mention. They are custom made ones 18-inch wheels from EVOD Industries with the styling of the Mustang rally wheels of yesteryear.

Coilover suspension & sports brake system

Because of a Penske Racing Shocks RS Edition performance coilovers the wheel set fits perfectly in the wheel arch and the performance plus is supplemented by a sports brake system from the house Baer. And inside? A lot has happened there too. In the course of more than 4.200 hours of work on the vehicle, a completely new one was installed Leather seats, a massive Center console and even the door inserts or the noble Steering wheel are specially made.
