Video: Rob Dahm's AWD Mazda RX-7 with +1.250 hp!

Hard to believe how long Rob Dahm already working on his Mazda RX-7 project. Under the hood sits a supercharged "4-diskWankel engine", there was all-wheel drive and the result is a racing car for the road, which after 6 years is finally finished. The video below shows the vehicle at SEMA, where the satin finish and the specially made and relatively discreet widebody kit with no visible rivets or screw connections come into their own. But at the latest when the first flames shoot out of the side pipe from the fender, there is no longer a trace of "discreet".

The vehicle's soundscape is more in keeping with a 90's Le Mans race car than a 'road-legal' private individual's car. Towards the end of the video there is even a look into the engine compartment, which is of course extremely impressive. The turbocharged 4-rotor Wankel engine delivers an insane 1.257 hp and another highlight is of course the all-wheel drive. The AWD system comes from a Nissan GT-R and should ensure insane acceleration values.

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
