When we talk about Audi WE primarily think of an Avant. Regardless of whether A4 or A6, beautiful station wagons are known to be called "Avant" and this is particularly true of the A4 B8. And in Germany, the Avant has been Audi's best-selling body shape for years. And that although crossover SUVs flood the model range in every respect. So it's no wonder that the Ingolstadt-based company offers its RS top models almost exclusively as Avant hatchbacks. But it doesn't always have to be “RS” because one floor below there are significantly cheaper “S” models that can easily be brought up to RS level with a little fine-tuning. The team at shows us exactly how this works Urban Motors from Eschweiler in North Rhine-Westphalia. They have modified an Audi S4 Avant which not only received a makeover technically but also optically, because the S4 has optically approximated the RS top version.
This is particularly true of the performance because it is now identical to that of the V8 top model. The three-liter V6 compressor is known to spit out 333 hp ex works. Urban Motors changed the loader wheel, revised the gearbox and engine software and thus sends an impressive 450 hp to all 4 wheels. The highlight, however, is the fact that the maximum torque increases to 545 Nm and is therefore 115 Nm more than in the RS4 B8. This means that the Urban Motors S4 should be ahead of its big brother, especially when it comes to pulling through. Incidentally, the tuner makes the whole thing audible by means of a stainless steel exhaust system from Kat with oval tailpipes in RS optics. And of course the chassis is also being revised. Urban installed for even more sportiness, and an improved look, a KW variant 3 coilover kit that also ensures that the gray Mash Concave rims from Emotion Wheels in the dimensions 10 × 20 inches ET45 sit perfectly in the wheel arch. The new Alu's are fitted with Hankook tires in the dimensions 255/30 R20 all round. Visually, the S4 is of course anything but restrained.
However, one puts less on extensive changes to the body, a shrill foil is the most prominent feature. The S4 comes with camouflage pattern therefore something to the Jon Olsson Style reminds. The basis is the red paint ex works, which is set in scene with geometric spots in gray & silver. Only the rear got a new component because the above-mentioned tailpipes are enclosed by an RS4 diffuser. The project is rounded off with a black Audi emblem in the S4 radiator grille and completely removed Audi rings at the rear. If we get more information about the modifications, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
