No flux compensator necessary: DeLorean DMC-12 BiTurbo-V6!

Can the old one DeLorean DMC-12 a modern one Kia Stinger GT V6 BiTurbo donate? Yup, that works! The DMC-12 was originally designed with a 2,85 liter PRV V6 (Peugeot-Renault-Volvo) with ridiculous 132 PS & 220 NM delivered to customers. Ok, the DMC-12 came with it 1.268 kg empty weight also not exactly difficult, so he at least has one power to weight ratio from 9,61 kilograms / hp but the V6 installed in the rear was only enough to accelerate to 100 km / h 11 seconds and the top speed was with 198 km/h not exactly based on the spacey look. But things look different with the heart of a Kia Stinger GT.

3,3 liter twin turbo V6 with a lot of tuning

The vehicle was from OMD San Diego and they did the installation of the 3,3-liter V6 with two turbochargers from the Stinger GT with several videos (see list at the end of the post) documented. The installation of a thick LS V8 would not have been bad either, but whether it would have fit is questionable. But the Stinger's 3,3-liter twin-turbo V6 is also included 370 PS & 510 NM torque a good decision. And there you have the engine too modified has, it is in no way inferior to a V8. The 3.3 T-GDi got new ones Garrett turbocharger, a new injection, a special one Aluminum suction, Chiptuning and one changed Intercooler. The result is 487 hp on the bike, which means that the engine is probably around the 580 600 to PS perform.

Six-speed manual transmission from a Porsche 911

Incidentally, the classic is switched by means of Six-speed manual from a Porsche 911 of the 996 generation. Of course, the vehicle does not seem to be finished yet. But it already drives once and it is very likely that after a few more adjustments, the rear will be installed again in no time and the DMC-12 will be fit for "the future". Visually, the project vehicle seems to be left in series production. In any case, we have not been able to detect any significant changes so far.
