Tickford MINI 1000 HLE Single item is sold!

The Aston Martin Coachbuilder Tickford was one of the companies that brought to life people's dreams in terms of exclusive car tuning at the time. The Mini, which we're looking at today, was developed back then by Tickford for a private enthusiast and is one of the coolest Minis ever. Although there is some speculation as to who 1984 Mini 1000 HLE Commissioned by Tickford, it is believed to have been built for a Saudi Arabian prince active in the oil and gas industry. The prince reportedly wanted to use it as one of his cars in Europe, so it became a LHD built. The special mini creation is unique. After the vehicle were said to be no more replicas Tickford manufactured. At least not that we know about it. It cost around £1984 to build in 50.000 currency, which is around £150.780 ($185.000 US) today.

So no expense was spared. However, the total included not the price of the donor car. It is only the cost of the customization work done by Tickford were carried out. The unique Mini impresses with a special appearance, including a redesigned front and a luxurious interior.

Some of the special design elements are the stacked rectangular main headlights, which are the hallmark of Tickford are, and the covered radiator grille with the additional headlights. These features, together with the individual front spoiler and the matching wheel arch extensions, ensure an impressive and distinctive look. The exterior of the car also boasts an attractive silver paint finish with red trim lines and a black vinyl roof. The classic also stands on a set of Minilite rims.

The interior reveals the owner's exquisite taste, featuring Recaro sports seats upholstered in luxurious Aston Martin leather, lush carpeting and an Aston Martin burr wood dashboard. The noble red leather was also applied to the door panels, the rear seats, the dashboard panel and the center console. A Clarion sound system and typical 1980s speakers are also part of the package. As already mentioned, the car was specified as left-hand drive because the owner wanted to use it as a city car in Europe.

The one-of-a-kind 1984 Mini 1000 HLE built by Tickford is set to go under the hammer in Chichester on April 16th. It's trading at a price of £60.000-80.000, which is roughly €67.800-€90.400.
