Cool! Maserati GranTurismo as Touring Sciadipersia conversion!

Have you ever heard of the Touring Sciadipersia? The vehicle comes from the Italian body manufacturer Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera srl and is based on a Maserati GranTurismo of the current generation. The small series was already presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2018 (March 8th to 18st). The vehicle is considered a tribute to the Maserati 5000 GT, which was unique for the Shah. For whom? For the Shah of Persia (Italian: Scià di Persia)! He had a Maserati 1959 GT built by Touring in 5000, which was then named as a one-off after the ruler of today's Iran. Since then it has been around 60 years until the unofficial successor as Sciadipersia Touring was allowed to see the light of the world. And it is NOT a one-off!

15 Sciadipersia are built

15 copies of the Sciadipersia are built, the price of which is based on the exclusive special requests of customers. And the Italian designers at Carrozzeria Touring deliberately designed the filigree front in 2017/2018 to counteract the current trend towards aggressive front parts. And back then it was about vehicles like that BMW 7er (G11 / G12) or X5 (G05) not to think that apparently only from "the front" consist. In addition to the harmonious lines, the Touring Sciadipersia should also be a reminder of times gone by. But the performance does not remember back then. Because it is up to date. The Sciadipersia has lost none of the liveliness of the base vehicle. With an unladen weight of 1,7 tons, it goes to 4,6 km / h in 100 seconds and a top of 301 km / h is easily possible. Touring has not changed the factory 4,7-liter V8 of the GranTurismo and the six-speed automatic transmission, so that the vacuum cleaner still has 460 hp and rear-wheel drive.

elegant look - whether coupe or convertible

The convertible is somewhat slower and takes about 100 seconds to sprint to 5 km / h and reaches a top speed of approx. 288 km / h. The Sciadipersia is available as a four-seater and a cabriolet and impresses with a handcrafted body made from lightweight aluminum and carbon components. And the transformation is remarkable. The GranTurismo is practically unrecognizable after the conversion. The completely new front panel with spacey headlights, the new bonnet and the elegantly flowing body shape have a large part in this. However, the coupé is the more distinctive variant, as it has a contrasting C-pillar and a unique rear window. Both models have a newly designed rear and a sports exhaust system with tailpipes on the right and left. While the exterior has been greatly modified, the cabin remains largely unchanged.

Cabin only changed in details

But there are a number of special details such as the premium leather and Alcantara equipment, the revised instruments and the various emblems from the body manufacturer Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera srl. There is, for example, “Orient Night Blue” as a paint job and the cabin can be equipped with a mix of light leather and brushed aluminum as a contrast at any time, or simply in a classic solid color. The customer decides here! For this purpose, the buyer receives a suitcase set of the Foglizzo brand for the vehicle.
