Toyota 86 GT Black Limited - black special series at the end of the construction period.

When the series production vehicle of the Toyota GT2011 was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show in 86, the experts were amazed. The sports coupé developed in cooperation with Subaru, which is also built at Subaru, is the first sports coupé by the Japanese car giant since the Celica, which was discontinued in 2005, and has a front engine and rear-wheel drive, which enables a balanced weight distribution. As a result, the small, sporty Japanese has developed into a cult car in the JDM drift scene, just like his indirect predecessor, the Toyota AE86. But not only as a drift car, but also in the JDM tuning scene, the Toyota GT86 has achieved a very high reputation, which is why a lot of tuned vehicles of this type are circulating on the Internet and there are also a lot of tuning parts for this vehicle.

Special edition at the end of production.

The current special edition is called Black Limited and is reminiscent of the AE86 Sprinter Trueno GT Apex Black Limited, the last edition of the blessed AE Sprinter Trueno GT which was limited to 400 pieces. On the outside, the new GT86 Black Limited is also painted in the color Crystal Black Silica, and also has bronze-colored aluminum rims with a diameter of 17 inches. There are also bronze-colored decorative stripes for an extra charge to emphasize the contrast. In addition, the car has a black painted rear spoiler, additional underbody panels and a rear fog light in Formula 1 style, which is mounted in the middle between the exhaust pipes. As a highlight, a Brembo brake system with red painted calipers is also installed, as well as special dampers from Sachs.

Nothing has changed in terms of engine technology.

The biggest weak point of the series was not eliminated with the last special model, namely the weak maximum torque of only 212 Newton meters, which are also only at 6400 rpm. The 2-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, which still produces 207 hp, is very lethargic and tired due to the low torque, especially in the lower speed range. Nevertheless, it goes from 7,6 to 0 km / h in 100 seconds and the small coupé still reaches a top speed of 226 km / h if you choose the six-speed manual transmission. With the six-speed automatic, the power is reduced to 200 hp and 205 Newton meters of maximum torque, and the driving performance is 8,2 seconds to 100 km / h and a top speed of only 210 km / h a little worse than the hand-torn variant. The Japanese feels most comfortable on winding country roads, and that's what he is designed for, because the low weight of only 1240 kg and the rear-wheel drive also make this part wonderfully driftable if necessary.

Special edition is limited to exactly 86 pieces.

The new Toyota GT86 Black Limited is limited to 86 pieces, of which exactly half, i.e. 43 pieces, are delivered with automatic transmission and the other 43 pieces with manual transmission. This means that very few people can enjoy this special edition, which is only available on the Japanese market. Since the car has many fans around the world, it would be outrageous to tune this edition if you should get one, as this Black Limited Edition in series condition and with good care should increase significantly in value within the next 10-20 years, just like it This is already the case with many JDM athletes from the 1990s if they have not been tinkered with and are in their absolute original condition.
