Anyone who thinks a Defender is a clumsy, slow jeep is of course basically right. It's different when the tuner Urban Truck dares the Defender and installs a LS3 6,2-liter Corvette engine and then lets the Land Rover drive with 500PS and other fine tuning details from the yard. On our blog it is the first post about a Defender, which shows how rare it is to tune the Defender.

The British tuning company has specialized in tuning the Land Rover Defender and knows exactly what it does. The idea of installing a 6.2 V8 LS3 engine made by General Motors from the 2008 Corvette has to come first. The performance of the V8 is possible from 430PS up to 500PS. Using a six-speed automatic transmission, the V8 balances a proud 540NM of torque on the four driven wheels.
But so that the appearance of the Defender also receives a tuning cure, Urban Truck has installed two large chrome-plated tailpipes at the rear. The rest of the car was painted in high gloss black. The carbon air inlets, the red brake calipers and the tinted windows also come from the tuner. The driving behavior was of course also adapted to the performance and so the Bilstein chassis (stabilizers and springs with sport setting) was supplemented by a set of 18-inch alloy wheels with Yokohama tires.
The Defender is then about 5cm closer to the ground. A lot has been done inside too, including a multimedia system with navigation from Alpine, as well as heated Recaro sports seats in fine nappa leather and a sporty Momo steering wheel. If you want more, you can also order parking sensors and an Alpine audio system with several subwoofers.
