An exotic is the Volvo S60 in this country definitely. The striking design, the pioneering safety features and the equally exotic five-cylinder in-line bi-turbo diesel engine actually make a good combination to sell like sliced bread. However, the second generation of the S60 remains behind the expectations of Volvo (at least in Germany) back. The tuning team from mcchip-dkr from Mechernich, in North Rhine-Westphalia, had a 205 PS and 420 NM torque strong S60 2.4 D5 on site and definitely shows that when it comes to increasing the performance of the Swede with the German counterparts from BMW, Audi or Mercedes can keep up. By means of chip tuning, an increase in performance of 31PS & 62NM torque was achieved to 236PS & 482NM. This leap in performance even brings the five-cylinder over the four-cylinder in-line bi-turbo diesel engine with 2015 PS and 225 NM torque, which has been available since April 470, and should cause some astonishment when trying the supposedly weaker 2.4 to overtake. If we get more information about other modifications to the S60, there is of course, as always, an update for this post. - Performance increase from 205PS / 420 Nm to 236PS / 482Nm - (chip tuning)
