There are only a few vehicles in the automotive industry that are characterized by a V10 engine in the front - these include icons like the Dodge Viper or the E60 BMW M5. But now an unexpected candidate has joined the list: Ein Volvo 245 station wagon from the 140er series. What seems incredible at first glance became reality thanks to the Swedish tuning master Peter Bjorck, Owner of the company BJP Race. He has the old Volvo a heart shaped like a 5.0L V10-Motors from one Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 racing car lost. The power pack delivers an impressive 500 hp and is on a BMW six-speed manual transmission coupled. A transmission that ensures puristic driving pleasure and perfectly complements the character of the V10.

But such an ambitious project was of course not without challenges. Installing one was particularly tricky two-piece drive shaft. Bjorck didn't shy away from integrating parts from other vehicle manufacturers: for example, a section of the shaft comes from one Renault van. And the tuner also had a hand in the exhaust: the original one Titanium Exhaust was replaced by a steel plant. It is characterized by tubes of the same length, one X-Pipe and other sophisticated details. The "Volvoghini“, as he is affectionately called, also has one additional sound insulation obtained.

The insulation not only ensures a comfortable driving experience, but also increases the weight of the vehicle. With approximately 1,360 kg The modified Volvo is significantly higher than the original weight, but this is not significant due to the performance. The cool transformation of the Volvo 245 into a “Volvoghini” is a real masterpiece, in our opinion, and shows what heights the tuning industry is capable of.
