The Ducati Diavel V4 surprises with its dynamic driving performance and its sporty driving abilities. Their acceleration and deceleration are particularly impressive. At low speeds she has an incomparable presence that does not go unnoticed. In addition, it offers amazing comfort for the rider and the passenger when touring.
Unmistakable line
Even at first glance, the Diavel V4 has a strong personality. Muscular, powerful, with broad "shoulders", it proudly presents its quadruple exhaust, which immediately provides information about the engine configuration. the Diavel V4 draws inspiration from muscle cars and superhero aesthetics. It reflects the image of an athlete ready to start, with a very powerful front and an agile, streamlined rear. The characteristic front and rear lights as well as the indicators, of course with full LED technology, also contribute to the unmistakable appearance of the Diavel V4.
The Daytime running lights (DRL)* have new lighting graphics with a double C profile, which will be a recurring stylistic feature of Ducati naked bikes. That The rear light consists of a matrix of punctiform LEDs that are mounted under the rear. This feature becomes an unmistakable visual signature of Ducati. It is a unique, unprecedented and spectacular solution that makes the bike instantly recognizable. The dynamic turn signals* are integrated into the handlebars and mounted in front of the brake and clutch reservoirs. Another distinctive element of the Diavel V4 remains the massive 240/45 rear tire. The five-spoke light-alloy wheels with a profile with machined surfaces are one of the most refined design elements of the Diavel V4. *Only in countries where it is legal.
Motor

This system switches off the rear cylinder bank not only when the vehicle is stationary, but also at low engine speeds and with a low engine load.
The Twin Pulse firing order, together with the special exhaust system that comes with great attention to the "sound quality" was developed, provides the V4 Granturismo with a strong acoustic recognition value. Advanced cylinder deactivation for the rear cylinder bank allows the engine to switch imperceptibly from four to two cylinders. The exhaust noise changes. A deeper sound with lower frequencies characterizes the V4 Granturismo when only the front two cylinders are active. When all four cylinders are operating, the frequencies get higher.

The impressive performance of the V4 Granturismo engine is matched with a for such a motorcycle amazing agility and dynamics combined. The rider is at the center of the bike, with a riding position that visually conveys a sense of control and confidence. The seat is low (790mm seat height), the footpegs are centrally located and the high handlebars are 1260mm closer towards the rider compared to the Diavel 20. This makes operation easier, especially when manoeuvring. Comfort also improves significantly on long journeys. The reason for this is the rear wheel suspension, which has a spring travel that has been increased by 15 mm. The wide, well-profiled seat offers maximum freedom of movement in all directions and thus enables more efficiency even with a sportier driving style.
The passenger can count on a spacious and comfortable seat, retractable footpegs under the rear and an extendable rear grab bar. The footrests and grab handle are practically invisible when they are closed and, together with the passenger seat cover that is included as standard and is easy to install, they enable the conversion from a two-seater to a single-seater in just a few simple steps.
Electronics
The driver can fully and safely use the power of the Diavel V4 thanks to an extremely comprehensive electronics package. This further emphasizes the sporty soul of this motorcycle. The Diavel V4 offers three power modes and four riding modes: Sport, Touring, Urban and the new Riding Mode Wet, which was developed for less grippy surfaces. The Riding Modes allow the rider to adapt the engine power and the intervention of the riding aids (Ducati Traction Control, cornering ABS and Ducati Wheelie Control) to the current situation and the rider's preferences.
The cruise control system allows relaxed driving on the motorway, while the Launch Control ensures a rapid start and the Ducati Quick Shift up & down makes gear changes less tiring in general and more effective when driving in a sporty manner. The rider can control all electronic systems via the backlit controls on the handlebars and the new 5 inch TFT color display which also offers the possibility to pair the smartphone and use it for calls, text messages and music or to use the turn-by-turn navigation system (available as an accessory) via the Ducati Link app.
Accessories
Those who want to increase the touring abilities of their Diavel V4 will find numerous options in the Ducati Performance catalogue, starting with the cases with a total capacity of 48 liters, for which the bike is already prepared (no frame required). In combination with the passenger backrest and the touring windshield, comfortable rides are also possible with a passenger. The sporty side of the Diavel V4 is further enhanced by the street legal rear silencer with four titanium end caps. Milled aluminum parts, carbon parts, forged wheels and brake calipers in red or black expand the options for customizing the new Diavel V4.
