The Cineco ES5 – commuting with a pioneering spirit and up to 11 hp!

The Cineco ES5, a 125-class electric scooter from Chinese manufacturer Cineco, is selling itself as the ideal solution for commuters. With a sturdy 8 kW peak power and a speed of up to 85 km/h the scooter promises a range of remarkable 110 kilometers. So let's look at those commuters who live in busy metropolitan areas where high speeds are the exception rather than the rule. The ES5, with its maximum speed of 85 km/h, is just right for them. In Germany, vehicles that drive faster than 60 km/h are allowed to drive on the Autobahn, but this is certainly not the preferred area of application for the ES5. The built in belt drive transmits the 5 kW continuous power of the centrally placed motor seamlessly to the rear wheel and increases it at peak times 8 kW (11 PS).

The 5,58 kWh of the scooter is divided into three 60 volt and 31 Ah lithium ion batteries. Weighing only 3,12 kilograms per battery you can easily take one or two with you and charge them at home. That could prove to be a real win, especially for those living in apartment buildings with no garages. After all, no one wants to lug a 10-kilogram battery up to the third floor. According to Cineco, the range of the ES5 is 110 kilometers - provided you keep a constant speed from 50 km / h a. The charging process at the home socket should be about 8 Hourn last.

The equipment of the Cineco ES5 includes a number of features, including a keyless start, a colored one TFT instrument, Bluetooth speakers and a USB port and even an integrated one Dashcam. The scooter also rolls on 14-inch tires at the front and 13-inches at the rear. With a Seat height of 780 mm and a wheelbase of 1.330 mm is braking by a compound braking system (CBS) secured. The ES5 is available in three color combinations: Gray / Orange, White blue and White with Neon yellow. In the US, the scooter is known as CSC ES5 already available for the equivalent of around 5.100 EUR (5.595 dollars). Unfortunately, we can't access it in Europe at the moment.

Subsidiary of Zongshen Group

Cineco is a subsidiary of the Chinese Zongshen Group (Zonsen, Cyclone), which claims to produce around 4 million motorcycles a year. With a maximum range of 110 kilometers, a top speed of 85 km/h and three removable batteries, each weighing only around 3 kilograms, the Cineco ES5 seems to have been specially designed for city dwellers and commuters in metropolitan areas. The Cineco ES5 is not yet available in Germany. One thing is for sure: the Cineco ES5 has the potential to revolutionize urban commuting.
