Full house: the 2023 Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Rally!

It all started in 1979 when Yamaha won its first Dakar Rally with flying colours. The nucleus of the spirit of adventure, the Ténéré, entered the market stage in 1983. Their generous fuel tank, robust chassis and high-torque engine quickly brought them to the attention of adventure bike enthusiasts. It was a bike that opened up new horizons and made traveling to distant places a true adventure. Over the years, various Yamaha team members have competed in the annual Dakar Rally and names such as Jean Claude Olivier, CEO of Yamaha Motor France, and desert legend Stéphane Peterhansel have made their mark in the annals of rallying history. Peterhansel has helped his name perpetuate the record books with his six wins on Yamaha motorcycles.

Yamaha Tenere 700 World Rally

Now Yamaha honors these bikes and their riders. The Ténéré 700 World Rally is a new edition that combines racing heritage with modern performance. It is the new flagship of the Ténéré series. For those who get a bit confused with the names: Yes, Yamaha certainly exhausted all possibilities with the combination of the words: Raid, Rally and World. There are now six different models to choose from. The newest addition, the Ténéré 700 World Rally comes in factory racing colors inspired by Stéphane Peterhansel's 1993 Dakar racer. Like the World Raid, it features a KYB inverted front fork and two sideways arranged fuel tanks with a total capacity of 23 liters.

Akrapovič titanium silencers

A new feature is the Akrapovič titanium silencer and the flat, two-piece seat, the five-inch color TFT display with smartphone connectivity, three-stage ABS and an adjustable Öhlins steering damper, which are already known from the World Raid Edition , are preserved. The design of the new Ténéré 700 World Rally is identical to that of the Yamaha riders Alessandro Botturi and Pol Tarrés in their racing events in 2023. The use of the lighter exhaust reduces the weight from 220 to 219 kilograms (ready to drive). The myth of Ténéré lives on and continues to offer exciting chapters in the history of motorcycling.
