Delays and postponements kept fans tense. Now the mature ones are going crazy again on the big screen: “Fast & Furious 9” (original title: F9) starts in German cinemas from July 15th and is already being traded as a high-horsepower highlight of the summer. The film with Vin Diesel breaks its first records before it even opens in theaters.
In 2017, the loud roar of the engine last boomed from the screen. Four years after the last part of the successful "Fast & Furious" franchise, the ninth part is coming to German cinemas. Justin Lin takes over the direction and takes a seat in the director's chair for the fifth time to advance the action-packed story. In addition to daring stunts and lots of screeching tires, the trailer, which currently has over 10 million views on YouTube, is a lot of fun.
In the main roles, Vin Diesel as Dom and John Cena as Jakob will face each other as a pair of brothers who are by no means looking for harmony. Dom had vowed to take it easy on life. However, he did not expect his brother, who turns up unexpectedly and upsets the peaceful future plans. Furthermore, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez and Charlize Theron will slip into their familiar characters and bring a new chapter to the "Fast & Furious" universe.

Actually, "Fast & Furious 9" will not start until July in most territories; July 15th is currently set in Germany. Exceptions, however, are selected areas in Asia that have already started the film. The numbers at the box office there give an idea of the power the new part will have. On the first day alone, the action fireworks grossed more than $ 3,4 million.

In addition, the steadily growing cult has developed into a real star magnet, where Oscar winners such as Charlize Theron or Helen Mirren want to be part of the show. Just filming wild car chases can be a false start. In 2014, “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul and the video game adaptation “Need For Speed” failed in this attempt and earned bad reviews. What looks so simple is, after all, a good combination of fun, charm and inventiveness, which fans and friends of well-tuned racing cars can soon see for themselves in the cinema.
